My ham radio station was in the basement of my house in Marion,
Iowa, when I was working for Rockwell-Collins on the NAVSTAR Global
Positioning System. I built a ham contest station, and was in the 10 meter
contest. The antenna was a Hygain TH6DXX beam on a 48 foor free-standing
tower. |

Quarter. We were stopped for a rest when I decided to play the old NOLA tune,
"Black & Blue." People came out of the rest |
