Iowa State University, Engineering Technology Institute, Instructor, 1970-1972
I was a full-time instructor, for 2 years, in the the Electronics Technology Department of the Institute. While teaching, I was taking courses toward a masters degree in Electrical Engineering.
University of Kansas, Department of  Electrical and Computer Engineering, 1982-1983 I was an adjunct faculty member of the EECPE Department at KU, but I only taught Digital Signal Processing to engineering students at King Radio Corporation in Olathe, Kansas. At the time, I was the Principal Engineer of the company.
Iowa State University, Department of  Electrical and Computer Engineering, 1984-2007
I was a faculty member of the EECPE Department at ISU for 23 years. During that time I taught a total of 24 different courses, graduated 28 graduate students, and was awarded $2,453,171 in research grants and contracts. ($5,081,218 in 2024 dollars).
Idaho State University, Adjunct Professor, Lewis and Clark History, 1999-2008
For 10 consecutive summers, I taught a Lewis and Clark Trail short course, for the Sawtooth Science Institute, Idaho Museum of  Natural History, Division of Continuing Education, at Idaho State University. This was a field course and we car camped along the Lewis and Clark Trail in north-central Idaho and western Montana.
